Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure, we are seeking a highly qualified technology professional to provide operational and strategic support for enterprise communication and collaboration platforms. This contract position plays a meaningful role in ensuring business continuity across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and voice/telephony services, while contributing to modernization and process improvement efforts.   This is a hands-on and advisory role, where your technical leadership, documentation rigor, and cross-team collaboration skills will help keep enterprise platforms stable, secure, and aligned to evolving business needs. This is a 12-month contract to start with possibility of extension. Enterprise Communication and Collaboration Specialist - M365 Job Details<ul><li>Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures	</li><li>Microsoft 365 Operations:	</li><li>Administer and support Exchange Online, Teams (chat, meetings, voice), and SharePoint Online	</li><li>Handle hybrid configuration between on-prem Exchange and Exchange Online	</li><li>Work with PowerShell for administrative tasks and automation	</li><li>Support tenant configuration, licensing, conditional access, and identity integrations (Azure AD)	</li><li>SharePoint Platform Support	</li><li>Fix site issues, manage permissions, and advise on governance practices	</li><li>Assist with site lifecycle, retention policies, and content migration planning	</li><li>Work with Records and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory needs	</li><li>Telephony and Voice Infrastructure:	</li><li>Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Unity Connection, and gateways	</li><li>Lead all aspects of Teams Phone System configuration and Direct Routing setups	</li><li>Resolve voice call quality, dial plans, and integration with meeting room systems	</li><li>Cross-Platform Collaboration	</li><li>Coordinate incident resolution and root cause analysis for multi-system issues	</li><li>Interface with vendors and MSPs for advanced support and escalations	</li><li>Support documentation of technical configurations and SOPs	</li><li>Contribute to platform roadmap input and transition planning where needed</li></ul> Enterprise Communication and Collaboration Specialist - M365 Mandatory Skills<ul><li>10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and enterprise collaboration platforms	</li><li>ITIL v4 certification or experience working in a formal service management framework (ITSM) is preferred	</li><li>Hands-on expertise and deep proficiency in: 	</li><li>Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online)	</li><li>Hybrid Exchange and Active Directory environments	</li><li>PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting	</li><li>Cisco UCS (Call Manager, Unity, SIP trunking, dial plans)	</li><li>Teams Phone and Direct Routing	</li><li>Detailed understanding of IT compliance, data retention, and identity/security policies	</li><li>Experience troubleshooting across sophisticated environments (hybrid, federated, multi-vendor)	</li><li>Ability to produce clear documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal staff	</li><li>Clear communicator and positive collaborator who is able to work independently and within multi-functional teams	</li><li>Spanish language proficiency is a strong asset	</li><li>Background in mining, industrial, or regulated enterprise environments is beneficial	</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for M365, compliance center, and eDiscovery is considered an asset	</li><li>Experience supporting Managed Service Provider transitions or service stabilization projects is considered an asset</li></ul> Enterprise Communication and Collaboration Specialist - M365 Contract Length 12 Months Enterprise Communication and Collaboration Specialist - M365 Start Date ASAP  Enterprise Communication and Collaboration Specialist - M365 Work Location Vancouver BC (Hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
