This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well-honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have background/experience in Property.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants. </li><li>Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.</li><li>Using supplied technology (e.g., Docusketch.), scope and establish quantum of damages.</li><li>Identify exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements. </li><li>Throughout the claims process, provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured. </li><li>Participate and share ownership and responsibility for afterhours customer service requirements when required</li><li>Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures.</li><li>Minimum Educational & Knowledge Requirements </li><li>Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.</li><li>Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation.</li><li>Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Prior experience in desktop or field claims adjusting, in property.</li><li>Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.</li></ul>Competencies required to succeed: <ul><li>Proactive in finding resolutions, with sense of urgency and responsiveness.</li><li>Effective analytical skills including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics. </li><li>Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.</li><li>Ability to handle pressure with a calm demeanor, especially during conflict and difficult situations.</li><li>Must have people skills with bias towards building relationships with own team and claims stakeholders.</li><li>Proficient with computers and current technology</li><li>Effective written skills including grammar and those of a technical in nature.</li><li>Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, etc.; Must be able to flex style appropriate to audience.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills and ensures that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience</li><li>Ongoing commitment to education and learning.</li><li>Access to an appropriate vehicle</li><li>Full driver’s license and satisfactory driving record</li><li>Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics</li><li>Good investigative manner</li><li>Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.</li><li>Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing CIP designation</li></ul>Advanced communication skills including:<ul><li>Effective written skills including those of a technical nature</li><li>Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to audience.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.</li><li>Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.</li><li>Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.</li><li>Candidate must already reside in Fort McMurray</li></ul>Environment/Work ConditionsSCM Insurance Services and affiliates welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
