We are looking for a Security Officer for Castlegar Airport.  Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 9AM - 2PM Payrate: $19/hr Some of your responsibilities include: <ul><li>Patrolling site, observing and reporting any occurrences/breaches immediately </li><li>Offering first class customer service to both client and general public </li><li>Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts  </li><li>Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports </li><li>Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor </li><li>Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form</li><li>Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary</li><li>Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards</li></ul>Your Must-Haves:<ul><li>BC Security License</li><li>Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent)</li><li>Class 5 Driver's License + clean abstract</li><li>Have lived in Canada for 5 or more years in order to obtain clearances</li><li>You have excellent problem solving skills  </li><li>Excellent attention to detail </li><li>You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills</li><li>Comfortable standing for long periods and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions</li></ul>Your Nice-To-Haves:<ul><li>Previous experience working at an airport</li><li>Bylaw level 1 </li></ul>What’s in it for you <ul><li>Opportunity for growth</li><li>Work for a reputable and nationally known company </li><li>A challenging yet rewarding work environment </li><li>Flexibility of rotations and sites to suit your requirements </li><li>Free uniforms </li><li>Paid on-site training  </li><li>Gain valuable experience as a stepping stone into a law enforcement career </li></ul>Our Story Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927.
