Job Description Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is looking for a First Cook at our Christina Lake Lodge, located near Conklin, Alberta. The successful candidate will cook a wide variety of foods, develop meal plans, inventory and grocery orders, provide directions to kitchen staff, and ensure the highest quality of food and baking possible. Duties will include meal preparation, supervisory tasks, inventory, administrative tasks, safety and teamwork. First Cooks are expected to be leaders, team players and examples of excellence. Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will work 20 days on and 10 days off rotation. Many other duties may be assigned during your employment and should be anticipated as we expect our staff to work as a team on the variety of tasks that need to be done on site. Please note that this is a seasonal position (July to October) with a high possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <ul><li>Plans and organizes the culinary team in the preparation of food items</li><li>Assists Chef with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning</li><li>Preparation and production of menu items</li><li>Ensure daily production levels are met</li><li>Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed</li><li>Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily</li><li>May be required to perform administrative and supervisory tasks in the absence of the Chef</li><li>Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: <ul><li>3-5 years of line cook experience working in a restaurant-style kitchen.</li><li>Red Seal Certification is an asset.</li><li>First Aid certification preferred.</li><li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills in an industrial kitchen environment.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.</li><li>Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Food Safe Certification is required.</li></ul> While we own an incredible responsibility to provide remarkable service to our guests from various walks of life, we are also strongly committed to providing inclusive, equitable and respectful workplace to our employees and for our communities we serve.
