Revit Drafting Designer

Position Description

We are currently recruiting 1 Full-time Architectural Drafter to work in the office to focus on our glass and metal projects with the following responsibilities:

• Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval & field installations
• Create custom designs as required for architectural proposals
• Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job
• Utilize all forms of curtain wall and architectural glass & metals

• Visit job sites to understand site conditions, scope of work

• Provide input to estimates and proposals

• Analyze building codes, site requirements and various other documents (OBC)

• Co-ordinate with architects, engineers and clients

Position Requirements

• Educational background in the Architectural field
• 3D drafting software, including Revit, AutoCAD design hands-on experience and knowledge is a mandatory requirement. Strong PC skills in MS Office

• Must possess good organizational skills and have the ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously

• Strong mathematical skills an asset

• Strong time management skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years Revit related Design and/or construction experience, utilizing the required software.
