We are always looking for talented individuals to join our team for upcoming opportunities and are currently accepting applications for a Central Warehouse Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Central Warehouse Manager with day to day operations of the department
  • Strategize and secure cost effective deals and suppliers
  • Construct and use of effective sourcing strategies, building business partnerships
  • Organize, inventory and stock tools, equipment and vehicles
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Supports process improvements through strategic understanding of material planning requirements
  • Establishes, monitors and updates key performance indicators
  • Develops and executes safe material handling and storage practices, ensuring policies are adhered to
  • Leads inventory management, including but not limited to transactions, auditing, tracking and reconciliation for the department
  • Liaise between customer, planning, warehouse and project management to support the production schedules
  • Assist operations personnel to meet the project requirements regarding equipment, materials and various procured needs
  • Researches and identifies purchasing opportunities to ensure lowest cost of ownership is achieved for Phoenix Industrial
  • Works collaboratively with operations personnel to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the client
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Inspect incoming delivery for damages and defects
  • Manage parts and materials requisitions
  • Maintain records and reports
  • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
  • Operate equipment to load and unload materials on and off trucks, and loading docks of warehouses and industrial sites
  • Other related duties including, but not limited to: Opening containers and crates; Filling warehouse orders; Assist in taking inventory and weighing, checking materials
  • Managing and performing general house keeping and daily clean-up of work area
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safety culture

Job Requirements:

Reporting directly to the Central Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate for this position will possess:

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years recent relevant warehouse experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent work experience (as above)
  • Must be Well-versed with the Toolhound program and its functionality

Job-specific knowledge:

  • Well-versed with the Toolhound program and its functionality
  • Knowledge of distribution supply chain an asset
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems
  • Microsoft office
  • JD Edwards experience is an asset
