Creative Design Specialist

BMO is currently sourcing for a Creative Design Specialist position on an 18-month contract.

Summary of Role:
The Creative Design Specialist is a senior-level graphic designer responsible for creating visually appealing presentations and marketing materials for BMO Capital Markets. This role involves using design software like Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office to transform text-heavy content into engaging visual formats. The specialist will work on various projects, ensuring they adhere to brand standards and are completed on time. The role requires a mix of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Project: Designing presentations and marketing materials
Years of experience: 2-5 years in Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing

Here are some of the key requirements and responsibilities included in this role:

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Design presentations, banner ads, invitations, and newsletters
- Ensure compliance with BMO brand standards
- Transform text-heavy presentations into visually appealing layouts
- Search and utilize stock galleries for infographics and digital photos
- Produce high-quality work on time
- Create interactive forms and maps
- Quality control and execution of design strategies
- Collaborate on complex projects
- Handle sensitive documents
- Propose new creative solutions
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Track and log projects in CRM
- Provide training and rotational support

Required Skills:
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat DC)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of print production and pre-press
- Graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

Desired Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience in a corporate environment, investment banking preferred
- Fluidity in a PC environment
