VERB is looking for a Digital Analytics Strategist to join our integrated marketing and technology team.

As a Digital Analytics Strategist, you will create and tell comprehensive stories about how users behave using data. You’ll deliver analytics projects of moderate complexity, partnering with other analysts and cross-disciplinary teams along the way. Through ongoing analysis, you will gain actionable insights that better address the business goals of our clients. Specifically, tasks can include:

  • Leading digital analysis projects including the development of data capture strategies and documentation, report automation, data visualization, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Supporting stakeholders through the analysis and interpretation of data, providing insights and actionable recommendations to inform website and campaign strategies
  • Consulting with clients and internal teams on implementation projects by developing measurement plans, leading data configuration and QA efforts, or providing recommendations to existing implementations
  • Collaborating with Social, and Paid Marketing teams by managing tracking and reporting across ongoing digital marketing campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
  • Creating detailed dashboards to deliver standardized reporting for site and campaign performance according to business objectives and KPIs
  • Establishing and defining benchmarks and projections for digital marketing tactics

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years' experience in web analytics with demonstrable experience in data visualization and storytelling
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, business, computer science, math or statistics
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify trends, communicate results and propose solutions
  • Ability to translate business objectives into measurement strategies to track performance
  • Familiar with analyzing and reporting on ecommerce data, preferably hotel bookings and revenue
  • Demonstrated experience using Google Tag Manager including setting up and configuring accounts for new websites and goals
  • Experience with data segmentation and reporting within Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Proficient in building dashboards leveraging and blending data from multiple data sources
  • Hands-on experience with visualization tools, with strong preference towards Google Data Studio
  • Ability to extract data from data environments such as BigQuery
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • General understanding of digital marketing channels, trends, email marketing, social media, Paid Media/Google Ads and SEO principles
  • Google Analytics IQ certification would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of Python/R would be a plus
