About the company
Wrk was founded in 2019. It is venture-backed by prominent venture capital and angel investors. It has a product in-market with active paying clients and is starting its commercialization phase.
We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Sales to build and lead a high performing sales team responsible for achieving over 10M in annual recurring revenue.
You will play an instrumental role in designing, implementing and leading the company’s overall growth strategy. This position is responsible for hitting targets, building client relationships and understanding customer trends and needs. You will work closely with other department leads to establish cross-departmental collaboration and execution of sales action plans.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Identifying, coaching and training a team of business development representatives and senior account executives to achieve productivity and revenue targets
Leading every aspect of the sales process, including being involved in the day-to-day selling process
Working closely with marketing to build and execute a quarterly strategic plan which outlines your vision for success, priorities, and business needs
Working closely with operations and customer success to ensure the smooth onboarding of clients and ongoing customer satisfaction
Forecasting and reporting, weekly, against targets and projections
Acting as an advisor to clients, keeping abreast of technical and industry information
Communicating openly and widely with internal stakeholders
Approaching the market through active leadership in industry and community organizations
Bringing industry specific and technology solution expertise to the sales process
Maintaining and nurturing client relationships to ensure additional business
Our perfect candidate
We’re looking for someone with proven sales and sales management experience in the SaaS space. You are strategic, systematic, metrics driven and highly structured, to ensure a consistent, repeatable outcome. You’re passionate about talent development and understand how to leverage data to identify coaching opportunities and support for every individual on your team. You’re hands-on, lead by example, and stay closely involved in all aspects of the sales process.
Really, we’re looking for an individual who will be in the arena with their folks, who establishes rapport and credibility with our clients, and who will be laser focused on delivering targets for our company.
Ideally, you have:
Strong experience in sales and specifically B2B SaaS sales
A proven track record as both a top performer and a sales manager
An exceptional level of drive, and passion for growth
The ability to talk tech really well with a high level of comfort discussing complicated concepts to senior leadership (C-levels)
A strong ability to grasp client’s business and technical challenges and fit solutions around those specific needs
Impeccable communication skills, both written and spoken, especially with presentations and videos
The ability to adapt to changing situations and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
