THE HOST FINE INDIAN CUISINE 87 Elm Street, Toronto Ontario M5G 0A8 are urgently seeking a skilled & experienced Indian curry & tandoori Cook to join their culinary team.
Job Duties
- Plan, cook and implement menus as per the establishment’s style and standards.
- Prepare all kinds of curries.
- Prepare tandoori meats and bread.
- Portion, arrange and garnish servings.
- Handle dough, marination, skewering & tandoor operations with consistency
- Maintain proper use of kitchen equipment and gadgets.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and estimate food requirements.
- Oversee kitchen operations and supervise kitchen helpers.
- Maintain high quality of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen and work area.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen
- Regularly review existing menu for opportunities to improve quality & taste.
Personal suitability: Must be hardworking, organized, dedicated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with speed & precision. Must have strong knowledge of Indian spices & breads.
Job Type: Permanent full-time position.
Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per annum for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Must be available to work in shifts & on weekends.
Overtime: 1.5 times the wage after 44 hours per week.
Experience: 5 years or more.
Language requirement: English.
Education: Secondary schooling.
