IT Project Manager  Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to oversee and manage the full lifecycle of complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, with a focus on Maximo, and a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and third-party vendors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic projects that drive technological advancement and organizational change.


IT Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints, adhering to ATCO’s Project Delivery Office (PDO) standards.
  • Partner with Project Sponsors and key stakeholders to create project charters and define critical deliverables in line with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external vendors, to develop and implement integrated project management plans for large, complex projects.
  • Define and manage project scope, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and address changes to project scope, schedule, and cost, following governance protocols.
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Ensure technical and organizational change management are integrated into the project execution process.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Delivery Assurance Manager and business teams to ensure adequate resourcing for successful project delivery.
  • Oversee third-party vendors and track progress against established milestones.
  • Engage ATCO’s Managed Service Provider as needed, following established processes and standards.
  • Adhere to client's IT PDO framework, ensuring project alignment with organizational objectives and IT governance.
  • Complete regular status reporting, including budget forecasts, accruals, and variance reporting, to ensure financial and project transparency.

IT Project Manager Mandatory Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a demonstrated history of at least one successful EAM system implementation (preferably Maximo) that integrates with other enterprise systems such as an ERP system, HCM, etc.
  • Strong understanding of EAM, ERP systems, supply chain processes, project management best practices, and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, leading teams toward timely, outcomes-driven delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to inspire, motivate, and guide project teams.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of change management principles and practices.
  • Skilled in managing third-party vendors and overseeing the execution of vendor deliverables.
  • Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Knowledge of structured methodologies and IT governance frameworks.
