Level 3 Programmer

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Analysis, design, implementation, testing, and roll-out of Identity Governance functionality:
a. Performing object-oriented n-tier software design, using formal methodology and
producing design documentation.
b. Performing object-oriented software programming in Java to produce n-tier
applications, to support highly available usage and/or for more than 100 concurrent
users.
c. Performing unit testing of object-oriented software using test frameworks including
producing and executing unit test cases and documenting the results.
d. Performing performance tuning of object-oriented software.
e. Compiling and authoring technical documentation related to the Identity
Governance project.
f. Performing programming in procedural shell scripting (ie. bash).
g. Developing and deploying object-oriented, Spring-based applications, leveraging
Rest APIs and container-based technologies
h. Deploying web-based object-oriented applications.
i. Providing knowledge transfer to CSE personnel.
2. Participating in Agile working practices and activities:
a. Participating in the Program Increment planning and closeout events (quarterly),
iteration planning and closeout sessions (bi-weekly), team scrums/standups (daily).
b. Participating in the development of work breakdown and/or task definition for
project activities.
c. Participating in the development of activity and task effort, duration and scheduling
estimates.
d. Maintaining up-to-date activity/task status information within project tracking
databases.
3. Specific initiatives driven by the Identity Governance team:
a. Analysing, designing, implementing, testing, and rolling out identity management
activities.
b. Developing source code for new requirements and to address bugs/defects within
the Identity Governance suite of services, as assigned by the Technical Authority.
c. Architecting identity management solutions using a combination of commercial or
open-source identity products, existing in-house applications, and new custom
Java services for their integration.
d. Contributing to the development of the necessary CI/CD pipelines.
e. Implementing access delegation within in-house applications.
f. Troubleshooting issues arising both during the implementation of in-house
applications, and during the subsequent use of the applications
