The following list of job tasks and machine tools and equipment used is intended to be a representative example of the classification and may not include all the functions of the classification.

Some of the duties include:

  • Operate stick electrode welders.
  • Operate wire gun welders pulse.
  • Operate weld fixtures.
  • Read drawings and build special forms and/or equipment from mech. drawings.
  • Use and read measuring tape accurately to 1/64.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Record labor accurately on work order and time sheets.
  • Perform quality audit process.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Clean work area on daily basis.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

The successful applicants will have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and have 3 years plus of welding experience. This job is responsible for the correct welding of carbon steel forms typically ranging from 14 ga. To ¾" thick. Dimensional accuracy, tack/weld completeness and overall compliance to the drawing are to be followed at all times. Experience using jib cranes, lift trucks and crane experience would be an asset. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis with proper lifting techniques. Must be able to work safely, independently, and able to handle multiple priorities. Good communication skills are required.
