Description

Our corporate client is looking to hire foreign workers for the Registered Nurse position in a long term care facility based out in London, Canada:

You will be required to work in a Long-term Care Facility with elderly citizens.

On a daily basis, you as a Registered Nurse will enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice in keeping with the standards and expectations set out by governing bodies and internal policies and standards of care.


Current opportunities: Registered Practical Nurses (10 positions)

As a Registered Nurse you will: 

- Ensure resident care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders, and other administrative policies.
- Collaborate with other team members and assisting in the assessment and monitoring of residents while working to develop, implement, review, and evaluate resident care plans in consultation with residents and their families.
- Administer medications and/or treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to resident care plan.
- May provide supportive counselling and life skills programming to residents.
- Manage and evaluate the work of nursing support and personal care staff assigned to the unit, including orientations and other supervisory duties.
- Monitor performance, conduct performance appraisals, and refer problems to the Director of Care.
- Provide direction to the nursing department in the absence of the DOC.


Requirements


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills: 

- Appropriate current certificate of competence/eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the College of Nurses of Ontario (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing).
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate.
- At least 4 years of full-time verifiable work experience as a Registered Nurse.
- A serving heart and a passion for caring for seniors.
- Previous similar experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills (IELTS 6).
- Provide supervision and direction to the care team.
- Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the “big picture”.

Benefits


- Support with getting Permanent Residency in Canada after 1 - 2 years of work will be provided.
- This is a full-time, permanent position with at least 40 hours of work per week
- Hourly rate of $30.59, overtime rate applies after 44 hours of work per week
