11 Month Contract

JOB PURPOSE

Act as an expert on Accounting & Risk systems, link between the technical IT team and business lines: Finance, Trade finance, Credit risk, Cash management, etc...
Ensure the functional and technical deployment of the applications and solutions in cooperation with technical team
Functional support to users and perform system analysis for projects
Prepare and coordinate integration and implementation of IT projects with transversal components
Work in a multicultural, multi-sites and challenging environment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and elicit user requirements
  • Functional analyze on Accounting & Risk systems
  • Draft functional / technical specifications
  • Estimate workloads and meet deadlines, control progress and manage timeframes
  • Execute unitary tests
  • Support users and development teams, perform technical investigations
  • Coordinate the implementation of systems enhancements
  • Develop relationship with users, developers, project managers, experts
  • Provide weekly status updates to Projects Managers and Team Leaders

REQUIREMENTS

Experience
  • 4+ years experience as IT Business Analyst
  • IT background is a prefered
IT knowledge
  • Good general IT knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle
  • Knowledge of Unix or Linux, Pearl
Functional knowledge
  • Knowledge of Accounting or Credit Risk
  • General banking knowledge is a plus
Skills / other
  • Good analytical skills, comfortable with technical investigations
  • Ability to seek and find solutions
  • Ability to prioritize tasks (user requests, projects, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, French is a plus
  • Ability to communicate with developers, users, analysts, experts, management
  • Ability to write clear documentation and concise status reports
  • Knowledge of a project management methodology (CMMI, PMP) is a plus
