Our client is looking for an SaaS Sales Executive who will be responsible for establishing and driving sales activities for their software products across North America.

Our client is an early stage B2B SaaS startup using leading-edge machine learning technologies to provide enterprises timely and impactful business intelligence insights from unstructured public data sets. Our client was founded in Calgary, Alberta and has rapidly expanded across Canada and the United States. With staff working from various locations across Canada.

What do we do?

Our client offers a platform that provides insights into topics of interest being discussed by local government organizations across North America. Their customers can easily find new opportunities and make strategic business decisions with more predictable outcomes. Their solution applies a 'bottoms-up' approach whereby they are first and foremost focused on local government organizations. They provide business intelligence to help their customers build new revenue streams, increase efficiency, and stay on-top of current and future government policy developments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through contract negotation/execution and handoff to the customer support team
  • Maintani relationships with clients across North American with the intent to recommend new opportunities and services
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
  • Colleborate with the team and share feedback from prospects to increase product market fit
  • Prospect and build a productive, revenue generating pipeline across a variety of lead sources
  • Build relationships with potential partner channels, lead/negotiate revenue share commission agreements where appropriate
  • Establish business development goals to distill into a tactical execution plan
  • Maintain, improve, and extend the business; further the reputation and interests thereof and always act in the best interest of the organization
  • Business development outreach by identifying and utilizing appropriate marketing materials (testimonials, case studies, teasers, features & benefits, customized landing pages
  • May participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

  • A confident, seasoned sales closer with proven success exceeding new business targets in B2B SaaS sales environment
  • A multitasker with exceptional organizational skills that can handle complex sales involving multiple influencers
  • A clear, empathetic, ethical and effective communicator who can relate easily to new people and create a positive working culture
  • A problem solver who genuinely wants create a joint vision of success and solve our 'customer's challenges' leading them to success
  • A team player committed to fulfilling a company's vision and values

Must have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma with a concentration in Business or Technology
  • At least (10) years of experience selling SaaS (Software as a service) solution or subscription based product to a diverse customer base
  • Proven track record closing large and mid-size companies
  • Ability to adapt, overcome objections, and learn complex solutions
  • Create new business opportunities through in-depth conversations and relationship building
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as G Suite, Slack, HubSpot CRM, Linkedin Navigator.
