Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Specialized IT Consultant (Senior) for our Provincial Government client.

Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
 
Background Information

- To procure a Specialised IT Consultant contingent resource for six months. The technical skilled resource will be initially required to focus on the Design and Development and QA & Production Support for ETL Projects.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
- Provide production support by monitoring ETL jobs, investigating failures and providing detailed reports on the resolution for issues faced in managing multiple data pipelines and QA support.
- Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
- Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.

Desired Skills:

- Experience at the specified experience level setting up user access and user profiles, backup and recovery, and day-to-day computer systems operations.
- Experience in Building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes).
- Experienced in building and managing Cloud Data Integration (CDI) pipelines for ETL/ELT processes.
- Proficient and experienced in designing and managing data warehouses (IICS) and databases(Oracle 19g)
- Experienced in data ingestion from cloud storage, on-premises systems, and streaming sources and API’s
- Proficient in designing and developing data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Experienced in system management and administration on Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data transformation logic, and data quality best practices.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries across various relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiar and proficient on Azure Cloud and Azure Storage technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Analytics.
- Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving IICS job failures and performance issues.
- Experienced in incident management, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
- Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
- Knowledgeable in managing support tickets and change requests.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in scripting (shell/python/Perl).
- CRM technologies (e.g. Oracle Siebel CRM), Oracle OBIEE, Informatica (PowerCenter and/or IICS).
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
