Spruce Grove, Alberta, owes its name to the many groves of spruce trees dotting the landscape when French and Scottish families settled the area in 1891.

With more than 32,000 people now calling the area home, those who love Spruce Grove have worked to keep the natural charm of the area, while allowing quality services, shopping, parks, trails, recreation, and culture to thrive. Spruce Grove is located 11 kilometres west of Alberta's capital.

Developed with families in mind, the area offers a variety of residential options and neighbourhoods. A recent study attempted to find ways to offer more affordable housing options.
