This is a great opportunity to join a reputable transportation company that values work-life balance, professional growth, and operational excellence.We’re looking for organized, customer-focused professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy playing a key role in supporting safe and efficient school transportation.Why You Should Choose SOUTHLAND<ul><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Monday to Friday schedule (no mandatory nights or weekends)</li><li>Employee recognition programs</li><li>Professional development and career growth opportunities</li><li>Be part of a team making a positive impact in your community</li><li>Supportive work culture focused on fairness, safety, and service excellence</li></ul>Principal Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate daily dispatch of school bus and van drivers to ensure routes run smoothly and safely</li><li>Monitor vehicle activity using GPS systems (e.g., Zonar) and communicate real-time updates to the team</li><li>Post route delays using BusPlanner to keep families and schools informed</li><li>Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, relaying updates, route adjustments, or emergency information</li><li>Track attendance, vehicle coverage, and report any concerns to Operations</li><li>Assist with scheduling charters and responding to public or driver inquiries</li><li>Support new driver onboarding through route briefings and orientation</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal procedures and promote consistency and fairness across the team</li><li>Perform general office duties as required</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Experience in dispatch or logistics preferred (school bus experience is an asset)</li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to stay calm and think clearly in time-sensitive situations</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li><li>Familiarity with Zonar (real-time monitoring) and BusPlanner (late notifications) is an asset</li><li>Local knowledge of Regina and surrounding areas</li><li>Commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork</li></ul>
