Brandt is currently seeking a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician based in Sault Ste. Marie, reporting to the our Sudbury branch.This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.Duties & Responsibilities<ul><li>Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment</li><li>Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently</li><li>Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems</li><li>Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken</li><li>Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards</li><li>Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis</li><li>Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel</li><li>Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required</li></ul>#LI-onsite<ul><li>Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel</li><li>Must be able to meet physical demands (climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, fine motor control)</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds</li></ul><ul><li>Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred</li><li>Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred</li><li>Must be committed to customer service and service excellence</li></ul>

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing preventative building maintenance for the assigned apartment buildings while providing great customer service to tenants.

Marie, ON, Canada</li><li>Compensation:Salary </li><li>Job Type:Full-Time </li><li>Schedule:Rotating Schedule, Weekends + On-Call Availability required</li></ul>Job Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing preventative building maintenance for the assigned apartment buildings while providing great customer service to tenants. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Perform necessary maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting) in occupied units. Complete and submit accurate maintenance log and time sheet.Clean and repair items in vacant or turnover units, including repairs like leaky taps, faucet change and door lock change.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Regularly clean common areas, including stairwells, hallways, and elevators, and ensure all lighting, emergency signs, and fire extinguishers are functional. Keep storage and boiler rooms clean, shovel and salt walkways, and manage garbage. Complete monthly inspections, painting and repair tasks on time.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Performing physically demanding tasks using ladders and power tools, while applying knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent and minimum two (2) years’ experience in HVAC equipment, BAS, and FAS in Class A residential complex is required.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance may be required.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail/web) are required.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, push and pull as well as go up and down stairs.</li></ul>Who are we?
