We are a growing organization that has been in business for 65 years. Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add Structures Technicians to our team.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:The Structures Technician maintains or modifies different types of aircraft to aviation standards. The incumbent possess the ability to: RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Perform sheet metal and composite repairs to aircraft components.</li><li>Provide high quality workmanship with attention to detail.</li><li>Read and interpret drawings.</li><li>Follow instruction and work to industry standards.</li><li>Maintain a tidy work area and be able to keep accurate work records.</li><li>Open to the idea of travel and working in and outside of Canada.</li><li>Ensure work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>AME (S) rated is preferred, however all levels of experience will be considered.</li><li>Approved training course completed is preferred (ICS also accepted).</li><li>Interpret Manuals/Drawings/Technical Data/Process standards.</li><li>Good hand skills.</li><li>Communication (spoken and written) take direction.</li><li>Ability to work at heights and confined spaces.</li><li>Able to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li>Reliable and punctual.</li></ul>BENEFITS:<ul><li>Choice of full-time or rotational schedule with equal time at home/off work.</li><li>Although preferred, there is NO RELOCATION REQUIREMENT for this opportunity.</li></ul>Compensation for this position will be competitive with market rates and based on experience.We support diversity, equity, and a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination. We are currently seeking a Deskside Technician - FTR - Port Alberni, BC to join our team in Port Alberni, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA). Purpose of Position The Deskside Technician provides on-site and remote information systems technology assistance and resolution of routine and non-routine problems. Accountabilities <ul><li>Receives, reviews, and completes service requests.</li><li>Resolves technical problems transferred from the Service Desk that require an onsite presence.</li><li>Installs and configures a variety of computer hardware and software, communications and peripheral devices.</li><li>Works independently when required, to identify underlying technical issues and resolve problems using appropriate knowledge and resources available.</li><li>Provides preliminary or routine instruction to customers in systems, applications and protocols.</li><li>Alerts Manager to current or potential problems with systems, applications, or customer service requirements.</li><li>Provides feedback to Manager on processes and procedures, current or potential problems with client systems and applications, and customer service issues.</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>1-2 years' experience with desktop/software support & hardware (break/fix). </li><li>1-2 years' experience with application packages. </li><li>Experience with printer support, office 365, Active Directory, ticketing systems (such as Service Now). </li><li>Must have driver's license and reliable personal transportation.</li><li>Must regularly lift machinery, tools, supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 kg.</li><li>Must be fully vaccinated in accordance with Health Authority Policy.
