Assets Schedules and depreciation journal entries on annual basis</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Prepare Trademarks/Patents Schedules and amortization journal entries on annual basis.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support external consultants on preparing and filing the US Sales Tax Return.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support year end audit process and provide the necessary schedules to external auditors.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Complete government survey from Statistics Canada.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Participate in special projects or accounting functions and analyses as needed.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Prepare and file the GST/HST Return to CRA.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Prepare monthly cost allocation journal entries.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Create Excel schedules to support account balances, analysis, or adjustments. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Perform analysis on balance sheet and income statements, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, as well as review, prepare and record journal entries. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Monitor and continue to develop and improve internal controls. </li></ul> Accounts Receivable<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Create invoices from NetSuite when needed.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Reconcile weekly eCommerce Sales and payment applications when needed.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review the top 20 customers’ AR Aging on quarterly basis and perform the necessary write-offs/adjustments when needed. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review bad debts provision/write off at year end and prepare the journal entries.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support for depositing and recording payments received from customers.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Assist the AR team in pulling supporting documents on Customer Portals during off peak weeks.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Organize filing of all appropriate documents.</li></ul> Accounts Payable<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Create Purchase Orders in NetSuite for Sales and Admin Team.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Provide training to AP associate on freight bills process.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Provide guidance to AP associate on the correct GL Codes to use for new transactions.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review Employee Expense Report (on Corporate Credit Cards/Reimbursement) in NetSuite and ensure correct GL Codes are used.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities.</li></ul> Other Duties Include: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Improve procedures and initiate corrective actions.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Other administrative and financial duties as assigned.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Organize electronic and hard copy filing of all appropriate documents. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Participate in professional and development activities to improve knowledge and skills.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Develop, update and maintain documentation of department policies and procedures as needed. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain up-to-date compliance with the legal requirements of the current legislation. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support the adoption of new accounting standards and amendments.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Assist in upholding policy and procedures relating to financial and accounting issues. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Work in accordance with DIVA International Inc.’s Quality Policy and B-Corp set of standards.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">3-5 years general accounting experience; CPA is an asset. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Knowledgeable in all accounting principles, GAAP compliance requirements and their practical application in the field.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is an asset.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience and/or comfort working in the menstrual hygiene category/CPG environment.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Flexibility and great interpersonal skills enabling effective work in a diverse environment.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Keen attention to
