Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.

<p>***<strong>LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY***</strong></p><p><strong>*Must be fluent in English & French*</strong></p><p>We are currently looking for highly professional, experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in a variety of long term and acute care facilities in the Hawkesbury area. </p><p>This opportunity allows you to earn above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.</p><p>Shifts would be early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight with <strong>consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.</li><li>Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).</li><li>Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe</li><li>Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts</li><li>Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.</li><li>Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases</li><li>BLS Certificate</li><li>Valid First Aid & CPR</li><li>Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV) proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis B</li><li>Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check</li><li>Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Must be able to work the flexible shift times, depending on the facility; eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length.</li><li>Must be able to ‘float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.</li><li>Must be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.</li><li>Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy (provided for review upon hiring).</li></ul>
