Customer Service Agent - On-It Regional TransitSOUTHLAND is currently hiring a Customer Service Agent for seasonal work between May 16 - October 13, 2025.  Shifts fall Friday, Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays between 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm.The successful candidate will work approximately 15 hours per week at an hourly rate of $18.00.  Customer Service Agents are required to work outside.Knowledge and Skills Required<ul><li>Good communicator – fluency in reading, writing and speaking English</li><li>Ability to speak a second language preferred</li><li>Confident, pleasant and welcoming disposition</li><li>Previous experience in a customer facing / customer service position</li><li>Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office</li><li>Good problem solving skills</li><li>Ability to work on own initiative</li></ul>Principal Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Answer customer’s questions about schedules, routes and timings</li><li>Deal with public, customer and staff inquiries in a professional manner and find diplomatic solutions to address concerns</li><li>Liaise with Supervisor, drivers and other CSA’s to ensure a smooth and trouble free operation</li><li>Monitor Betterez App to ensure functionality and performance</li><li>Provide information to the Supervisor to enable them to make decisions regarding service, load levels and service changes</li><li>Compile data on passenger numbers for each trip</li><li>Manage and log lost property items</li><li>Ensure operating procedures are adhered to</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)</li><li>Experienced working in a customer service environment</li><li>Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills</li></ul>
