</li><li>Refer guest/resident to restorative nursing as indicated.</li><li> </li></ul> Clinical Systems <ul><li> </li><li>Demonstrate Sunrise practices and guidelines for care and services surrounding guest/resident's skin, nutrition, behavior, falls, and bowel/bladder.</li><li> </li><li>Assist in implementation, training, and monitoring of documentation related to clinical systems weekly.</li><li> </li><li>Consult with physician as appropriate.</li><li> </li><li>Ensure guest/resident changes, concerns, and/or solutions are reported to the DNS as appropriate.</li><li> </li></ul> Medication Management <ul><li>Transcribe physician orders in the Medication Administration Record/Treatment Administration Record (MAR/TAR) accurately and promptly to include initials, date and time 'noted', and date faxed to pharmacy.</li><li> </li><li>Demonstrate and is knowledgeable of the Six (6) Rights of Medication Pass ("Right" resident, medication, dosage, time, route, right to refuse).</li><li> </li><li>Perform and follow Sunrise and nursing standards for taking orders from physicians and administering medications.</li><li> </li><li>Ensure current guest/resident photo with dates for all guest/resident on MAR/TAR.</li><li> </li><li>Complete Med Pass audit as a quarterly minimum.</li><li> </li><li>Complete MAR/TAR audit each month.</li><li> </li><li>Monitor the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts for neatness, cleanliness, availability of medications, and expired medications.</li><li> </li></ul> Guest/ Resident, Family, and Visitor Relations <ul><li> </li><li>Respond to guest/resident, family, and visitor requests in a timely and professional warm manner.</li><li> </li><li>Communicate with families regarding the guest/resident medical care and seek new methods to incorporate guest/resident requests into existing nursing standards.</li><li> </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all guest/resident information.</li><li> </li><li>Review, read, notate, and initial the Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident's physical and behavioral changes.</li><li> </li></ul> Risk Management and General Safety <ul><li> </li><li>Partner with community team to ensure community follows national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies and adhering to safety rules and regulations.</li><li> </li><li>Practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures.</li><li> </li></ul> Infection Control <ul><li> </li><li>Understand and follow infection control practices.</li><li> </li><li>Provide training as needed to support infection control practices.</li><li> </li><li>Understand and practice the proper method of attending to and disposing of, and the possibility of exposure to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious waste, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials.</li><li> </li><li>Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous chemicals immediately.</li><li> </li><li>Ensure oxygen tanks are stored safely, exchanges guest/resident tanks when empty, and monitors to make sure liters of oxygen are at prescribed levels.</li><li> </li></ul> Supervision <ul><li> </li><li>Assist with staffing and scheduling ensuring staffing is sufficient to meet guest/resident needs.</li><li> </li><li>Assist with providing team member evaluation feedback, coaching, and counseling on care provided as appropriate.</li><li> </li><li>Provide leadership for team members during orientation, Sunrise University trainings, and evaluations as appropriate.</li><li> </li></ul> Training and Contributing to Team Success <ul><li> </li><li>Participate as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals.</li><li> </li><li>Demonstrate skilled nursing, hospital, and/or full-service operations</li><li> </li><li>Maintains CPR certification and ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state/provincial regulations</li><li> </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, and methods as applied to skilled nursing and resident care</li><li> </li><li>Demonstration of knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local long term care regulations</li><li> </li><li>Understanding of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the Care Plan Process</li><li> </li><li>Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications</li><li> </li><li>Ability to work weekends, evenings, and
