Reporting to the Dean, you will oversee programs, while supporting faculty, operational staff, and students, and ensuring high-quality program delivery and alignment with the College’s strategic and academic goals.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Managing daily operations and faculty performance within assigned programs</li><li>Leading recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and professional development of faculty and operational staff</li><li>Supporting program and curriculum development, academic scheduling, and workload planning</li><li>Analyzing enrolment trends and using data to inform strategic planning and program sustainability</li><li>Ensuring academic quality through program review, assessment, and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards</li><li>Advising and resolving student issues, appeals, and academic conduct matters</li><li>Supporting an inclusive, Indigenized, and student-centered learning environment</li><li>Leading initiatives aligned with CNC’s Strategic, Academic, Indigenous, International, and SEM Plans</li><li>Collaborating with Student Affairs and other departments to enhance student experience and success</li><li>Monitoring budgets and ensuring fiscal accountability for assigned programs</li><li>Liaising with regulatory bodies and representing the Dean as needed</li><li>Participating in college-wide leadership, policy development, and strategic planning initiatives</li></ul><h2>About You</h2>To qualify, you will need an undergraduate degree in a field of study related to the School, a master's degree in a relevant field, and a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience, along with at least 3 years of post-secondary teaching experience. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:<ul><li>Experience in educational leadership within the post-secondary sector</li><li>Understanding of adult learning models and the role of community colleges</li><li>Familiarity with inclusive, Indigenized, and internationalized educational practices</li><li>Proven ability to lead strategic planning and implement long-range academic initiatives</li><li>Ability to analyze enrolment trends and apply data to planning and decision-making</li><li>Experience managing the full employee life cycle</li></ul>As our ideal candidate, you possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with sound judgment and a collaborative, student-centered leadership approach.
