The maintenance manager oversees a maintenance planner, maintenance supervisors, maintenance engineers, and around 20 maintenance tradespersons (warehousepersons, millwrights, welders, electricians).What You'll Be Doing<ul><li>Lead health & safety initiatives to ensure positive outcomes through employee engagement and risk reduction.</li><li>Ensure plant reliability by executing an effective maintenance program and coordinating scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance with the production department.</li><li>Supervise and delegate tasks to maintenance crew and on-site contractors, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.</li><li>Support new equipment installations by coordinating resources, labor, and materials, and managing the sourcing and ordering of replacement parts.</li><li>Analyze breakdowns and maintain records to provide improvement recommendations, reduce downtime, and manage equipment repair history. </li></ul>What Are We Looking For<ul><li>A trades qualification, or an engineering educational background, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Knowledge of British Columbia health & safety regulations and BC Mines Code.</li><li>Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.</li><li>Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proven interpersonal and communication skills.</li></ul>Work EnvironmentRole operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
